Its natural habitats are dry savanna, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, and temperate desert.
Muis
They live in grasses and shrubs. They are ash-grey with a dark dorsal stripe, and white or off-white underparts. Grey climbing mice are nocturnal and good climbers. Grey climbing mice are granivorous and insectivorous.
