Common Barking Gecko or Whistling Gecko * Blawwende Geitjie * Ptenopus Garrulus

Barking geckos become active for a short time with their calls during a desert sunset. They come out when it is dark to feed on termites, small beetles and ants. Males are marginally smaller than females.
