The team at Restaurant Klein JAN have been honoured by the Tourism and Hospitality Counsel of South Africa at the 3rd annual Luxe Restaurant Awards in three categories: Culinary Pioneer, Restaurant of the Year (Restaurant Klein JAN) and Chef of the Year.
Restaurant Klein JAN is open to day visitors for a lunch service on selected dates each month. Bookings open 3 months in advance. We offer a seven-course tasting menu and wine pairing at ZAR 2500 per person. Lunch services are from 12:00-15:00.
Due to the nature of the Klein JAN experience, visiting the restaurant is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

In-house guests of the Motse camp and Tarkuni homestead are invited to experience one memorable meal at Restaurant Klein JAN during their stay. It is not necessary to book this – once your accommodation reservation has been confirmed at either the Motse or Tarkuni, your dinner at Klein JAN will be arranged on your behalf.
