Boegoeberg dam (SE Groblershoop 35km)

You can hike into the Langeberg from there, or use it as a base from which to explore the roaring sands of the Witsand Nature Reserve. Go fishing in the river nearby or bring your boat and enjoy a day filled with water activities. Feel free to park your boat at our Jetty available. The expanse of water provides excellent opportunities for skiing, canoeing and sailing.

Boegoeberg Dam building was started in 1926 and completed by 1933. Boegoeberg is named for the small tree Croton gratissimus, also known as Bergboegoe. Its primary purpose is for irrigation and it has a low hazard potential. Wikipedia
